On June 22nd, 2018 the pilote course took place at the Faculty of Economics and Management of Sfax where representatives of ITG4TU project in university of Sfax have been in charge of dictating this course.
Dr Slim Kallel, Prof Ahmed Hadj Kacem and Dr Ismail Bouassida presented the main aspects of Governance of IT: structures, standards and business strategy. The alignment of IT with business strategy aspect, the CIO role, and the importance of achieving this alignment regarding to the benefit of IT were highlighted. Moreover, the concepts of assets, and IT efficiency use in respect with strategy of HEI and the communities that it serves was highlighted. The course has been focused to promote IT governance principles.
IT Governance for Tunisian Universities
This project is aimed to gather a set of researchers from four universities with a wide experience in developing and deploying ITG framework models from 3 different countries (Spain, Germany and Norway) to develop, adapt and test a new ITG framework to be implemented in HEIs in Tunisia. Expected results of this project include a better governance model for IT in Tunisian HEIs as well as an overall modernization of the governance processes for HEIs and a contribution of the cooperation between EU and Tunisia.
