On 10th to 14th September, partners from University of La Manouba and University of Tunis El Manar has attended the Høgskolen i Østfold - Østfold University College (OUC) on the occasion of the Research Visits in Halden. The aim of the visit was to sustain interest and to develop a consistent research groups on the topic. Furthermore, this is one of the main pillars of the sustainabiility of the project and the implication of researchers in Tunisian universities.
Participants from Tunisian Universities (UMA and UTM) were welcomed by Ricardo Colomo-Palacios, as a representative of OUC, with whom they drew up an agenda of activities to be carried out during the visit. Furthermore, the attendants visit the Makerspace, the Industrial IT and the Cybernetic Labs and meet with the IT Dean Harald Holone and several professors to exchange interests in new ways of collaboration and research, among the topics of IT Governance, alignment of several frameworks like COBIT and ITIL, and its application. In addition, they could expose their main problems regarding research and interest areas.
IT Governance for Tunisian Universities
This project is aimed to gather a set of researchers from four universities with a wide experience in developing and deploying ITG framework models from 3 different countries (Spain, Germany and Norway) to develop, adapt and test a new ITG framework to be implemented in HEIs in Tunisia. Expected results of this project include a better governance model for IT in Tunisian HEIs as well as an overall modernization of the governance processes for HEIs and a contribution of the cooperation between EU and Tunisia.
