A Erasmus+ Project belonging to Capacity Building, in the field of Higher Education
University of Balearic Islands
On 12th to 28th February, partners from University of Gabes, University of La Manouba and University of Sfax, attended the University of Balearic Islands (UIB) on the occasion of the Research Visits in Palma. The aim of the visit was to sustain interest and to develop a consistent research groups on the topic. Furthermore, this is one of the main pillars of the sustainabiility of the project and the implication of researchers in Tunisian universities.
Participants from University of Gabes, University of La Manouba, and University of Sfax (the first two from 12th to 25th February and the last one from 18th to 28th February) were welcomed by Carlos Juiz, as a representative of UIB, with whom they drew up an agenda of activities to be carried out during the visit. Furthermore, the attendants took advantage of the visit to work on the framework to be applied in each Tunisian university and the current status of their IT governance. They could also visit the Erasmus+ office and the Career center of UIB and meet with several professors to exchange interests in new ways of collaboration and research.
IT Governance for Tunisian Universities
This project is aimed to gather a set of researchers from four universities with a wide experience in developing and deploying ITG framework models from 3 different countries (Spain, Germany and Norway) to develop, adapt and test a new ITG framework to be implemented in HEIs in Tunisia. Expected results of this project include a better governance model for IT in Tunisian HEIs as well as an overall modernization of the governance processes for HEIs and a contribution of the cooperation between EU and Tunisia.
